I prefer the way the Sci-Fi channel (now SyFy) portrayed them as well. Fighting was done with swords and tech shields. They did not need to be armored in your way. He should look more the swordsman and less the riot cop.

Wow. Random guy on the internet made a better uniform than the costume designers of a feature film and mini-series.
THIS is fucking awesome. It's not just the suit, the helmet and the gun. The pose, the feeling of emptiness in the desert, the strong colours. Actually, that's my only gripe with this thing: I just re-read the novel and I'm pretty sure the sky is mentioned as being black even in the middle of the day. Then again, a black sky would have looked much more boring that the strongly blue one here, and people have deviated much more from Frank's original work, so that's forgivable. Read that? There is now literaly nothing bad about this piece. It is a work of art, one of the best dedicated to Dune and certainly the best dedicated to the Sardaukar.
You just earned yourself another watcher, and I would love to see you do more work on Dune!
